CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CONFIRMANDS!
Bishop Gerald T. Walsh, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of New York, confirmed 30 students from our religious education program, our high school, and Saint Francis de Sales Church at the 5:30 p.m. Vigil Mass of last Saturday, June 8.  Congratulations to these young people and to their families.

PASTORAL CHANGE
St. Jean's has a new Pastor, as of June 1.  The Mass of Installation for Father John Kamas, S.S.S. will take place on Monday, June 24, the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, at 7:00 p.m.  Monsignor Thomas Modugno, the Vicar of East Manhattan, will officiate.  Come celebrate the occasion and welcome Father John! A reception will follow the Mass.

TOWERS RESTORATION CAMPAIGN
Repairs are underway on our church towers.  During 2013, the limestone will be removed from the existing columns atop the towers, the steel inside repaired, and new cast stone columns installed.  The work will take a year to complete.  The goal of the Towers Restoration Campaign is $2,000,000 for this project and other needed repairs.  Donations are tax deductible.  Read the campaign booklet to find out how you can help.

 Music at Saint Jean Baptiste

The most important aspect of the music ministry at the Church of Saint Jean Baptiste is its focus on the celebration of the liturgy.  In the Eucharistic celebration, we strive to sing as one voice with the assistance of choirs, cantors, organist, and instrumentalists.

In addition, the Music Under the Dome series features occasional concerts of choral, organ, and instrumental music.
